Qian Zhongshu and Hunan Normal University: Although the university was then operating under a different name, the College of Foreign Studies which will be hosting ACCL 2019 is the very same unit of which Qian Zhongshu was once Dean—and it is this college which was fictionalized as “Sanlü University” inFortress Besieged.
钱钟书与湖南师范大学:湖南师范大学的前身为1938年创立的国立师范学院,学院外语系首任系主任即为学贯中西的大家——钱钟书,其著作《围城》中的“三闾大学”的原型,便是此次ACCL双年会的主办方湖南师范大学外国语学院。

Mount Yuelu and Yuelu Academy: Hunan Normal University lies at the base of Mount Yuelu, the summit of which can be reached with a vigorous 30-minute hike from the middle of campus. Right next to the HUNNU campus is the Song-era Yuelu Academy, where Zhu Xi once taught.
岳麓山与岳麓书院:湖南师范大学位于岳麓山脚,从校园步行30分钟即可到达山顶。校园旁边不远处,即是创立于宋朝的岳麓书院,南宋理学家朱熹曾于此执教。

Tangerine Isle: The youthful Mao Zedong, while living in Changsha, composed a famous lyric,《沁园春·长沙》, while at the head of Tangerine Isle, in the middle of the Xiang river. Tangerine Isle is now a city park, and since 2009 has been the site of a giant stone bust of the young Mao. Also of interest to scholars of Mao will be the Xinmin Association, a short walk from the conference site, a political study group which Mao helped establish in 1918.
橘子洲:青年毛泽东曾在湘江的橘子洲头挥笔写就了脍炙人口的《沁园春·长沙》。如今橘子洲已开发成为一片风景区,洲头伫立着青年毛泽东半身像艺术雕塑。此外,离会议地点不远处,还有一个新民学会可供参观,学会是在毛泽东的协助下于1918年创立的,主要研究政治。
Mawangdui: One of the most important archaeological sites of the Western Han, a tomb site east of downtown Changsha. Most of the excavated relics are now in the Hunan Provincial Museum downtown, including portions of the famous Mawangdui version of theDao De Jing, and other early medical, astrological, and mythographic silk texts.

马王堆:位于长沙市区东部的西汉古墓,在西汉考古遗址中有着非常重要的地位。出土的大部分文物陈列在市中心的湖南省博物馆,如著名的马王堆版《道德经》,以及一些早期的医术、占卜、星象等帛书。
Du Fu Pavilion:a landmark replica building, built at the site on the banks of the Xiang River where Du Fu lived in a small house at the end of his life.
杜甫江阁:仿古地标建筑,位于湘江江岸,与橘子洲、岳麓山隔江相望。诗圣杜甫晚年两度驻足长沙,寄居江阁。

Shaoshan: Roughly an hour from Changsha, Mao’s birthplace is now one of Hunan’s major tourist attractions, featuring the original buildings from his family compound, as well as a large museum of Mao artifacts and memorabilia.
韶山:韶山是毛泽东的故乡,湖南省重点旅游名胜区,主要景区有毛泽东故居、毛泽东纪念园等。从长沙到韶山大约一小时的路程。

Miluo: About 90 minutes from Changsha, this is the place where Qu Yuan spent the last years of his life, and supposedly the site of his drowning, and the first dragon-boat races held in his honor.
汨罗:诗人屈原晚年居住地,也是传说中其投江殉节之地,首次纪念屈原的龙舟竞赛在便是在此举办的。从长沙到汨罗大约90分钟的路程。
